Shared Ride Operated Hours
 
Shared rides are available only from 5am to 11pm daily
 
Shared Ride Arrival
 
Passengers arriving at either JFK or LaGuardia Airport are advised to proceed to the Ground Transportation counter operated by the Port Authority. These counters are easily identified and adjacent to the counter are the Ground Transportation courtesy phones from which you will be able to speak to our reservationists by dialing "21"
 
Shared Ride Luggage
 
One passenger is allowed 2 standard sized suitcases and a carry-on.
In a group the first passenger is allowed 2 standard sized suitcases and a carry-on the second person 2 pieces, third person 1 piece, forth person 1 piece and for each additional piece of luggage $10.00
 
Airport Arrival Procedure & Charges (Private Ride)
 
For pre-arranged airport arrivals, the following procedure will apply:
 
  • Domestic Arrivals:
  • Driver will meet passenger in the baggage claim area with a sign with the passenger's name
 
  • International Arrivals:
  • Driver will meet passenger outside customs with a sign with the passenger's name. There is a 30-minutes grace period from scheduled arrival for domestic flights and 1 hour for international arrivals. After grace period, waiting time charges will apply.
 
Wait Time (applies to point-to-point pick ups) (Private Ride)
 
Wait time is $40.00 per hour. There is a 15-minute grace period from scheduled pick-up time. (This does not apply to airport pick- ups, please see arrivals procedure below.) After the grace period, wait time will be billed in 15-minute increments at $10 per 15-minute interval. leave the airport without calling our office or you will be subject to a no-show fee.
 
No-Show Charge (Private Ride)
 
A no-show will be billed when our driver is on location for pick-up and the passenger does not show. A no-show will be charged when there is no record of cancellation or the passenger leaves pick-up location without contacting our office. The charge for a no-show will be the full fare of the service. Passengers arriving at either JFK or LaGuardia Airport are advised to proceed to the to the Ground Transportation counter operated by the Port Authority. Holiday Charges
 
A $20.00 holiday fee will be added to all private reservations and $5.00 shared ride on the following holidays:
  • New Years Day
  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day
 
Early Morning/Late Night Pick-up Charges (Private Ride)
 
A $15 fee will be added to all pick-ups made between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM
 
Additional Stops (Private Ride)
 
Additional stops made en-route to destination will be billed as follows:
  • Same town $10.00 per stop
  • Different towns, same county $20.00 per stop
  • Different Counties $30.00 per stop
 
Parking Fee (Private Ride)
 
All pre-arranged meet with sign airport arrivals will be billed a $6.00 parking fee.
 
Tolls (Private Ride)
 
All toll charges will be billed round-trip, unless otherwise specified.
 
Gratuity (Private Ride)
 
Gratuity will be 20% for all services, unless otherwise specified.
 
Hourly Rates

Sedan $45.00 per hour 3 hour minimum
7-passenger Suburban $65 per hour 3 hour minimum
10-passenger Van $65.00 per hour 4 hour minimum
6-passenger Limo $75.00 per hour 3 hour minimum
8-10 passenger Limo $80.00 per hour 4 hour minimum
The above rates do not include 20% gratuity and tolls and parking, where applicable.
 
Owner-Operator & Employment Opportunities
 
Westchester Express is proud to have been a pioneer in the use of Owner-Operator drivers. Back in the early ‘80’s Westchester Express was one of the first companies in the nation to use Owner-Operators in the airport ground transportation industry.
Today, Westchester Express’s Owner-Operators form the core of our driving staff. An Owner-Operator, with their vested interest in our business, provides a higher level of service than the typical employee driver. It has to do with the pride-in-ownership that goes along with being an Owner-Operator.
Owner-Operators have the complete support of Westchester Express Shuttle’s operation facility. A new Owner-Operator goes through a comprehensive training program and quickly becomes an expert in airport operation and customer service.
Contrary to what many people think, previous airport transportation experience is not a key element in making a successful Owner-Operator. Some of our most successful Owner-Operators have come from completely different fields. We have former teachers, police officers, business people of all types, who their own vans and drive for Westchester Express. What they have in common is a desire for independence and a love for both driving and interacting with people.
As a Westchester Express Owner-Operator you are in business for yourself, but not by yourself.
A small investment is required to become an Owner-Operator and a good income is available to all who enjoy people and driving.
 
Driver Positions:
  • Minimum 21 years old.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Motivated individuals with a strong knowledge of our service area.
  • Must be personable and customer service oriented.
  • Current DMV printout indicating a safe driving record.
